WTF you're doing here?

This page is teh old. Move along.

Blender

Blender is a freeware 3D software package developed by Ton Roosendaal of Not A Number, The Netherlands. There were enough praises to this beautiful modeller/animator/renderer. Just be sure to check its home site at http://www.blender.nl if you're into 3D modelling and animation. Also check out the links section at the bottom of this page.

A Little Gallery of My Silly Creations

Silly picture

From the Be My Valentine short. See the animated piece in the animations section.

The lips are NURBS, vertex keys IPOs are used to make them kiss.

This site is for 21+, didn't you know?

I started with some conic NURBS surface radiating from the nipple. Then, after the major part of breast was sculpted, I converted it into a mesh, mirrored the right breast and joined the meshes together manually. Then I made a tummy out of another NURBS surface and joined it in similar way. The colouring is vertex painted, I like the smooth feel it gives. The blur is done with Strubi's zblur plugin. Processed in The Gimp just a litttttle bit.

This is from unfinished yet animation about Duke, the Java G*y. What happens when Java Guys smoke (crack ;)? Intro section.

Another shot from the Java Smoke animation.

An unofficial Together Team wallpaper. You may treat it just as a sick BDSM fantasy of mine, although if you're hard into OOP you might like to know what is Together.

My tribute to Illiad and his User Friendly comic strip. The Dust Puppy.

The little guy's eyes are made of nurbs, then converted into meshes. The legs are sculpted out of metaballs, although it might be much easier to make them out of NURBS or just by mesh subdivision, or so I think now. Really interesting pictures are used for eye reflection map. And of course, the hair is made of the static particles.

A little better attempt of NURBS head modelling. This head doesn't look exactly like a real cat, but I like it. It also features cool UV Orco texturing. The model is one NURBS surface, only the eyeballs and whiskers are separate.

A mean hog.

This is a combination of NURBS and mesh modelling. First I modelled snout and head as two separate NURBS objects. Then I converted them into meshes and joined manually. Finally, I pulled out the ears.

A close-up view of the same hog's eyes.

The eyes are not rendered separately. Each eyeball actually consists of two balls one inside another. The outer one uses more reflecion and the inner one has more colour texture on it. All in all, eyes use about 6 textures which are modifications of iris closeup, retina closeup and a photograph for the reflection map.

Toadstool hospitality.

The grass is done with lots of NURBS planes twisted around the ground. The planes are alphamapped, so the grass is actually a set of flat ribbons. To make it look more convincing I added a few camilla flowers that are real 3d. The sporeplates and the skirt use alpha mapping too.

BE MY VALENTINE!

Taste them! (no larger version)
A Valentine Days greeting. Needless to say more.

The one for Feb 14, 2000 is gonna be here soon!

The evil paperclip!

VIGOR

This evil project came to life by the hands of Joel Ray "Piquan" Holveck after the idea originated from Userfriendly comic strip. I was wholeheartedly impressed and created this silly short.

You can find the original story starting here. Be sure to check the evil project too!

Piquan got interviewed on LinuxTicker, read the interview and the overview of Vigor project on LinuxTicker.

DUKE VS EVIL EMPIRE

6 ft for Duke
After hesitating for a long time I decided to put online a couple of shorts I'm never going to finish. That's not sad but just true. I added some finishing touches to them and put them here. I hope you'll find them entertaining.

This short was created not in Blender, but in LightWave 3D. It's my first attempt at character animation. It also features music I made myself :)

Duke smoking crack

SMOKING DUKE

This is another unfinished animation short. Here's what happens when Java G*ys smoke. This is done in Blender again. I hope I'll learn to animate characters better one day.

MPEG-1, =580K

PTAK BEING THANKFUL

Strong drink
Kostra has brought a bottle of wonderful Czech drink Becherovka for me to the Blender User Conference. Unfortunately the schedule was so tight (not that we had too much drinks most of the time anyway) and we could not drink it up together. This animation is my apology and gratitude. Thanks Kostra! :)

This character is very dear to me. Be nice to him!

MPEG-1 =1.2M

Coffee!

PUFFIN' NIGHT

A night in Amsterdam, three blenderheads tired after a busy day, a coffeeshop.. you get the idea.

Starring: Elephant Spliffo, calli, strubi, svo

Sound is strongly recommended.

MPEG-1 with sound, =2.5M

DANCING ROACH

Kick Ass
It started as Xuxa's idea for a roach showing his tongue. It took me one week to model the roach and throw in some life in it. Fortunately a beautiful song by Hedningarna came up handy.

Borkity bork

STORK BORK

This is a quite long piece that I dare to call "Animation Short". Read all about it in the production notes page.
